Nile Cruise Luggage Recommendation…

Sounds a strange title? “Nile Cruise Luggage Recommendation“.

Well the reason for this post is that Barbara has just bought me an Eagle Creek Tarmac 22 “carry-on” suitcase for my Christmas present which I’m going to use for the first time when we go away for Christmas and so I thought I’d mention this excellent product here on the blog.

I’m also due to visit Egypt on business in January so it will come in handy as I’ll be travelling around a fair bit so I can hopefully stow it in the overhead lockers.

I first came across “Eagle Creek” when a friend told me how easy he found it to pack for trips and how he managed to get an awful lot of gear into a very small case.  He also told me about the “packing system” that he used.  It turned out he used “Eagle Creek” luggage and the Tarmac 22 in particular.

I dont’ know about you but whenever I travel I always take too much. Usually because I take “just in case” clothing when in fact I usually bring most of it back without ever wearing it.  So this time I decided I was definitely going to travel much lighter and thought if I bought the Eagle Creek case, which is pretty small anyway and used the packing system then I would be forced to leave out the “just in case” clothing and pack just what I needed.

I also thought that if I used the “packing system” then I would arrive without a whole bunch of creased clothing.  Plus as the Tarmac 22 is also a “carry on” case I would also avoid standing at the carousel for ages waiting for my case to come through.  So Barbara kindly bought me the Tarmac 22 for my Christmas present.

To show you how much you can actually pack in a Tarmac 22 I found this video on YouTube.  When I get back from our Chrsitmas break I’ll let you know how successful my “Tarmac 22 adveture” was.

If you have any travel recommendations that you think might help other travellers I’d love to hear from you and I’ll post the details here on the Nile Cruise Blog.
