Nile Cruise with FREE second week

Nile cruise with a Free second week?
Sonesta St. George Hotel LuxorYou may have seen the previous post about the great offer for a Nile Cruise and a FREE second week that I posted over the weekend.

I just wanted to recommend that if you are thinking of taking advantage of this great offer that you might thing about the hotels that are on offer at a small supplement in Luxor as part of this great deal.

The hotel that is totally free is the “El Luxor” which is right on the front facing the Nile and the Nile Cruise ships.  However I personally would pay just a little more (£29 or £49) and upgrade to one of the four alternatives. Barbara and I were in Luxor at the end of March and we visited these hotels.Â

Those were the “Sofitel Karnak“, the “Maritim JolieVille“, the “Pavillion at the Old Winter Palace” and the excellent “Sonesta St. George“.  All four of them are hotels that I would love to spend a leisurely week in and each of them can be booked for an extra week for a very small supplement.

Nile Cruise Bargains now…

If you can get away over the coming few weeks will can pick up some real Nile Cruise bargains.

As the programmes get back into normality our suppliers are offering some great incentives such as overall price reductions, no single room supplements and no Manchester supplements amongst other things.

These bargain offers wont’ last long as Nile Cruise prices traditionally hold firm as ships tend to book up well in advance but because of the recent crisis bookings over the next few weeks are probably at the best that you’ll see this year.

If you would like more information on Nile Cruises available over the next few weeks please call us on Freephone 0808 1089 100.

Freezing in Manchester Piccadilly Station!

I'd rather be on a Nile Cruise!Barbara and I spent the past weekend at a travel conference in Bristol having travelled down from the North by train without any problems.  Unfortunately the same could not be said for the return journey.  Sadly our train back to Manchester was delayed due to adverse weather conditions and we missed our onward connection.  That meant a one hour wait on the open platform at Manchester Piccadilly in sub-zero temperatures until our onward (and crowded) train arrived to take us to our home station.
On arrival we then had to drive our youngest daughter back to university before we finally arrived home at around 9.30pm only to find that our heating had decided to give up the ghost!

Nile Cruise and Cairo

The PyramidsNile Cruise and Cairo:

We are selling more and more Nile Cruises with an additional 3 nights in Cairo and if you are thinking of visiting this fascinating city you will probably want to do a little “online” research before you go.

Over the last few years I’ve been following a wonderful blog called “Reflections on the Nile” which is a journal written by Su Bayfield of her travels in Egypt.  Su is a great writer and has visited and explored Egypt on many occasions and her knowledge and enthusiasm shines through her writing.
