Barbara and I are planning a short visit to Cairo and Luxor to gather some new video footage and photographs for the main Nile Cruises 4u website.
We hoping to stay at the Sofitel Le Sphinx Hotel in Cairo and whilst we are there we’ll pop into the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel nearby as well as some downtown Cairo hotels if we can.Â
After that we’ll take the opportunity to get some new high definition video footage with our new Flip Video Camera of The Sphinx and The Pyramids. We’ll also take a quick visit to downtown Cairo before taking the Egypt Air flight down to Luxor.
We’re planning to stay at one of the more popular Luxor Hotels such as The Nile Palace and then take the opportunity to try and make some quick visits to the Royal Viking Nile cruise ship and the newly refurbished and refitted Viking Princess.
We’ll be taking a lot of photographs as well as making some sound files using the Zoom H2 recorder. That way we can add some sound to the site too.
We’ll also be using our Twitter account to make regular Tweets throughout our visit as well as posting up photos using Twitter. We’ll also add daily posts here on the blog using my iPhone. Should be a real “feast” of the use of travel technology. (Fingers crossed).
