Nile Cruise and Cairo

One of our most popular arrangements is a one week Nile Cruise followed (or preceded) by 3 nights in Cairo.

The great thing about this holiday is that an awful lot of the things you see and hear about when you are visiting sites such as The Valley of The Kings or The Temples of Karnak, come alive to you when you are visiting The Egyptian Museum in Cairo where so many of the artifacts from those sites are on display.

A good example would be the contents of the Tomb of Tutankhamun at The Valley of The Kings.

The 3 nights in Cairo gives you 2 full days to explore Cairo and its’ surrounds by taking perhaps a full day tour of Memphis, Saqqara (where the “step pyramid” was constructed) and The Great Pyramids and Sphinx. You could also then add a half day Cairo Excursion taking in The Egyptian Museum.

On one of the evenings, before dinner, you could experience the Sound and Light Show at The Pyramids. Something that I have done and would really recommend.
