Nile Cruises in January

Nile Cruises in January We often get asked the “what’s the best time to take a Nile cruise?”.

Well, it depends a lot on what your looking for.  By that I mean if its’ the weather that’s important then you need to consider what sort of temperatures you are looking for.

Egypt is a great winter holiday destination as it’s always”warm to hot” during our winter months.  In our summer month’s its’ very hot.  But as the excursions are undertaken during the morning most of the time you will avoid the heat of the mid-day sun, which can be very hot.

We had a number of enquiries and bookings yesterday for January departures which is a great time to go.  It’s usually cold here, warm there.  Damp and windy here, sunny and calm there.  Plus what a great boost to our systems to enjoy a week of pure blue skies and warm sunshine while the rest of Britain is shivering under cold, gray skies.

We’ve got some great prices for January and if you’d like to find out more please visit our Nile Cruise Bargains page or call us on Freephone 0808 1089 100.

Nile Cruise Store

We have always suggested a few books in the Nile Cruise Bookstore that we feel would be useful and interesting for anyone taking a Nile Cruise.

I’m a great reader and love reading travel books and watching travel tv programmes. (Good job I’m a travel agent then, eh?).

There is nothing I like more than reading up about a destination that I’m due to visit. It’s a great way to find out the places to see, places to eat, what’s happening in the area, etc. Plus it really puts you in the mood.

Well, we have just enlarged The Nile Cruise Store that we have on our main Nile Cruises website and here on the Nile Cruise Blog to now include more books as well as DVD’s and some “travel equipment” that we feel you might find useful.

I’ve included a couple of recommendations including the fabulous “Flip Digital Video Camera“, which I’ve taken on a number of trips and is probably the smallest, cheapest and most portable video camera you’ll find and the “Camelbak Hydration Pack” which is a great, convenient way to carry water with you.

I hope that you’ll find some interesting books and things in the store, and, if you have any suggestions that you think other travellers would be interested in please let me know and I’ll add them to the store.

King Tut III Nile Cruise Review

I’ve just added quite a comprehensive review to the main Nile Cruises 4u website from Lisa McNab.

Lisa travelled earlier this month and kindly wrote a long and detailed review of her impressions.

I’m sure if your thinking of taking a Nile cruise, perhaps even sailing on the King Tut III you’ll find Lisa’s review really useful. You can read it by clicking here and visiting our Nile cruise reviews section.
