I’m currently updating the Free Nile Cruise Guide to add the details of some new Nile Cruise ships that we are selling and to add some video footage to the Guide.

I’ll also be able to add some new information and ideas that we’re not available when we wrote the first Guide, some 18 months ago.

You may have read about the recent controversy about the launch of Google’s Street View. A lot of people have complained about the “privacy” implications of Google publishing photo’s take on the streets of the UK without the permission of people who were in the street at the time the photos that make up Street View were taken.

There were also photos of drunken people throwing up which dont’ exactly look good, however the concept of being able to zoom in on Google Maps to “Street View” is brilliant for travellers and travel agents alike.

I have created a (pretty basic) video to show you how you can use Google Street View to take a look at some of the places that you will visit on your Nile Cruise. I have just scratched the surface of what you can do with Street View but hopefully it will give you some ideas that you can build on. Hope you find it useful.
