Sat at Manchester Airport. It’s 07.11 and we’ve been up since 4.00 to get to the airport. Our eldest daughter Sophie kindly drove us to the airport and has promised to pick us up again (which is handy!). Flying with Monarch at 9.00 and should be in Luxor around 4 local time. Getting through security was really quick and easy even though it was quite busy. Seems to have changed since last time I was here. If you get to security and realise you need a clear bag for any gels or liquids they have machines selling them right at the security point. You need pound coins though. Manchester airport looks pretty nice now as they seem to have redeveloped Terminal one departures completely. Can’t find a book that interests me enough to buy so I’ll be spending my flight tome catching up on the various podcast on my iPhone which I’m using at the moment to blog this. What a fabulous gadget an iPhone is.

However, I must say with Egypt and Nile Cruises we do get a lot of positive feedback.

Anyway here’s the article, (with credit to The New Star and author Dianne Newcomer).

“Big, gigantic … no, I’d probably say huge-normous — and old — very, very old.”
