We’re pleased to be able to offer you a new Nile Cruise ship called the “Hamees”.

When I say “new”, I mean new to us as we haven’t’ been able to feature this vessel before today.

Here’s a little about the ship:

The “Hamees” is one of the most deluxe cruises on the Nile and offers excellent accommodation and facilities which make for a truly enjoyable cruise on the river Nile.

All of the spacious and modern 72 cabins are located over four decks and are air-conditioned with a large panoramic window.

The cabins measure approximately 21 square metres all with private bathroom and shower, hairdryer, LCD TV plus music channel and mini-bar.

A large restaurant offers a wonderful variety of international dishes whilst the lounge bar is an ideal place to socialise and relax in the evening.  The spacious sun deck located on the upper deck provides a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the views of the Nile. There is a pool and bar offering drinks for all to enjoy.

Facilities include:

* Restaurant * Lounge bar * Gift shop * Sundeck * Swimming pool * Poolside bar * Library * Games room

We are able to offer a special series of 9 night Nile Cruises aboard the “Hamees” in late October and early November but seats, flying from Gatwick, are limited so please call us on Freephone 0808 1089 100 for more information.

Nile CruisesI am hoping to produce the Nile Cruise Podcast Episode 6 later this week. I spoke to a returning client on Friday who had just had a wonderful time cruising the Nile on the Oberoi Philae and staying at the marvellous Mena House Hotel in Cairo.

As soon as I can arrange the interview I will add the Podcast to the Nile Cruise Podcast player.

King Tut 3You will have seen on the main Nile Cruises 4u website that we offer 2 All Inclusive Nile Cruises King Tut 1” and the “El Fostate“. The King Tut 1 sails on a Monday and the El Fostate on a Wednesday.

We’re pleased to be able to offer a further All Inclusive cruise on the “King Tut 3” which is a sister ship to both vessels.

The King Tut 3 has “suite-style” cabins and is a great alternative to the El Fostate for a wednesday sailing.

All suites are equipped with air-conditioning, en-suite facilities, internal telephone, fridge, television and hairdryer.

It has 90 suites, spacious lounge and bar, restaurant, 24 hour reception, sun deck with swimming/plunge pool and 4 decks. However, we only sell cabins on the upper or middle decks.

Please call Barbara or myself, Colin, on Freephone 0808 1089 100 for more details of sailings, availability and prices for the King Tut 3.

I have just added the latest Nile Cruise Podcast (Episode 5). In it I interview Gwyneth Willmore who has just returned from a Nile Cruise on the Domina Prestige. So if you planning a cruise on the Domina Prestige you might want to give it a listen.

We also talked about the “Phaoraoh’s Curse”, (dicky tummy!!) and Gwyneth’s Balloon Trip Mishap (!!).

Hope you enjoy it.

Dahabiyya Nile CruiseHere’s a unique way that you can cruise the Nile. Do it on a Dahabiyya.

In the late 19th century, aristocrats and sophisticated travellers loved to cruise the Nile in the style and comfort of their private ‘dahabiyyas’, beautifully crafted wooden ships with from four to ten cabins and a host of servants. They rented the boats for many weeks at a time and made their way from temple to temple enjoying the river breeze. Dahabiyyas were popular amongst those who wished to enjoy Egypt at a leisurely pace, to drink in the landscapes, and peruse the monuments and villages on the riverbanks.

Travelling by dahabiyya is a unique, peaceful and relaxing experience. There are up to 10 crew for 12 passengers.

As an example the dahabiyya “Nesma” is an traditional ‘dahabiyya’ and is outfitted in colonial style with oriental and Egyptian touches. The interior boasts period furnishing and each cabin has its own individual decoration. It has six compact cabins measuring 5.75m x 2.50m; each with its private bathroom of 1.25m x 2.50m with a toilet, wash basin, shower and hairdryer. Four cabins have two single beds and two a double bed (triple cabins are not available) and the maximum capacity is twelve passengers. The cabins are located towards the front of each boat on the starboard and port sides, separated by a central corridor. The communal lounge covers the width of the boat and is a lovely setting for serving meals. The kitchen is at the stern, while the staff cabin and sitting areas are located aft. The engine room lies beneath the kitchen and electricity is provided by generators. Both the public area and cabins are fully air-conditioned.

We can now offer you a choice of Dahabiyyas and a choice of itinerary. For example a 12 day “Nostalgic Nile” Cruise with 3 nights’ bed and breakfast in Cairo and a 7 day all inclusive cruise costs from £1,599 with flights.

If you want to experience a truly memorable Nile Cruise or if you have already cruised the Nile and want to return and experience a totally different atmosphere then a dahabiyya might be exactly what the “doctor ordered”. (more…)

Nile Cruise Domina PrestigeI’ve just added some new photographs of the Domina Prestige on our gallery page. The previous photographs seemed to come out a bit fuzzy but the new ones are crystal clear. We get excellent reports from clients regarding the Domina Prestige so hopefully these new photographs will help you get a much better idea of what to expect if you cruise on her.

Nile CruisesWe had quite a rush on yesterday for Nile cruises departing in February for the half-term. We had run out of seat availability but managed to find some extra availability for departures 4th, 11, 18th and 25th February which filled pretty fast. I think there are some seats left for the 11th and 25th as I write this post.

The cruise vessels on offer with these seats were the Viking II (4 star full board) and the Viking Premier (5 star full board).

If your still looking to get away in February please call us on 0808 1089 100 and we can see if we can still get the seats for those dates.

Ra 2We are selling more and more Nile Cruise on the Ra 2.

If you’ve heard my interview with Donna Fleming on the Nile Cruise Podcast Episode 3 you’ll remember how impressed she was with the Ra 2.  One of its’ unique selling points is that it has it’s own mooring a little further away from the other cruise vessels each cabin, (apart from singles) has its’ own small balcony.

Please give Barbara a call on Freephone 0808 1089 100 for more details on the Ra 2
