The Pyramids - Nile CruisesWe have been getting a lot of requests for a Nile Cruise with a Cairo extension so that people can see the Pyramids and the Sphinx too.

I have posted about this earlier in the year but I thought it worth detailing again what we can offer.

Currently we are putting together a lot of “tailor-made” holidays that include flights from London Heathrow with EgyptAir, (there is a Manchester add-on) arriving in Cairo and then transferring to the excellent 5 Star Sofitel Le Sphinx Hotel which stands almost “in the grounds” of the Pyramids and from which you get great “Pyramid views”.

Clients stay at the hotel for 3 nights on either a bed and breakfast or half board basis and we can even obtain “Pyramid view” rooms. During that time they can arrange for various full and half day excursions to see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, etc, etc.

On the Monday clients fly down from Cairo to Luxor and board the King Tut 1 Nile Cruise ship for a 7 night full board cruise including 12 excursions and the services of an Egyptologist.

At the end of the cruise clients fly home to Heathrow, (or Manchester via Heathrow).

This really is a great way to really see Egypt and experience a Nile Cruise and we are currently able to put together this 10 night trip from £890 per person subject to availability.

If you would like more information about this holiday or if you would like us to organise a quote for you please call either Barbara or myself, Colin, on Freephone 0808 1089 100.

If you want something a little “out-of-the-ordinary” or if the typical 8 day Nile Cruise doesnt’ fit the bill, we would be delighted to arrange a “tailor-made” Nile Cruise for you.

For instance yesterday I had an enquiry from a young lady who wanted to arrange a Nile Cruise as a surprise to celebrate her husband’s birthday. However she wanted to combine it with a visit to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx as well as taking a few days at the end of the cruise to relax.

So, we put together an itinerary that went as follows:

Day 1: London Heathrow - Luxor. Check in for 2 nights at the Sofitel Sphinx Hotel, Cairo. B&B Room with “Sphinx View”
Day 2: Free to visit the Sphinx/Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, etc.
Day 3: Depart Cairo by air for Luxor and join King Tut 1 cruise for All Inclusive 7 night Nile Cruise
Day 4: Nile Cruise
Day 5: Nile Cruise
Day 6: Nile Cruise
Day 7: Nile Cruise
Day 8: Nile Cruise
Day 9: Nile Cruise
Day 10: Check in at the Nile Palace Hotel for 3 nights B&B in a “Nile View” room
Day 11: Free in Luxor
Day 12: Free in Luxor
Day 13: Depart Luxor by air direct to London Heathrow.

The price, including flights on EgyptAir, the Nile Cruise and all hotels came in at around £1200 per person but it was a great itinerary and it was exactly what she was looking for.

Obviously that itinerary was “tailor-made” for that particular client but I am sure we could put together a “tailor-made” solution for you too if you require something a “little different”. Perhaps just a few nights in Cairo or a week on the Red Sea after your cruise. There are many combinations.

Please call either Barbara or myself on Freephone 0808 1089 100 to discuss possible “tailor-made” Nile Cruise options.

Nile CruisesWe can now offer you 1 week Nile Cruise & Stay holidays.

Using either the Radamis1 or Radamis11 we can arrange a 3 night or a 4 night cruise from Luxor combined with a 3 or 4 night stay in a top Luxor hotel.

Prices will vary depending on your chosen date of departure but please feel free to call Barbara or myself on Freephone 0808 1089 100 for more details.

Lazuli Nile CruiseWhat about cruising the Nile “under sail”?

The luxury Nile sailing vessel Lazuli has six luxury cabins and offers you a totally unique travel experience.

Here’s a desciption of the Lazuli:

The boat offers a luxurious atmosphere with the advantage of modern comforts and convenience.

Built at the end of the 19th century and was identical to the ‘traditional’ vessels. The boat is propelled by two Latin sails and has six cabins.

There is a large drawing room and a covered deck with tables and chairs, sun loungers and mattresses to relax on and sontemplate the passing countryside. All cabins have a shower, wash basin and toilet. Four cabins have double beds and the other two have twin beds.

Imagine sailing down the Nile “under sail”, experiencing the same pleasures and excitement as the 19th century aristocrats who sailed in this manner all those years ago but with all the comforts and conveniences of the 21st century.

There are 3 options you can choose from if you sail on the Lazuli. You can take the cruise itself, you can add a stay in Cairo to it or you can add a stay in Luxor instead.

Please take a look at our Lazuli cruise page on the main website for full details of this fabulous Nile cruise.

Nile CruiseWe get a lot of enquiries for “Nile Cruise & Stay Holidays” combining either a few days in Cairo to see the Sphinx and Pyramids and then followed by a Nile Cruise OR a Nile Cruise followed by a further week in either Luxor or one of the Red Sea beach resorts such as Hurghada, Sharm-El-Sheikh or Taba OR all three!!

In other words a few days in Cairo, a week’s Nile Cruise and then a further stay in either Luxor or one of the Red Sea beach resorts.

Obviously these arrangements cost a bit more than a straightforward Nile Cruise but a lot of our clients say that if they are going to Egypt then they are going to really make the most of their time there and see as much as possible.

If you’d like more details of a possible “Nile Cruise & Stay holiday” please call Barbara on Freephone 0808 1089 100 or direct on 01704 833197 and she’ll be pleased to explain all the options available to you.
